The VSI Project

The “Virtual Surgery Initiative (VSI) Project” video is a 15 minute look into the world of vascular surgery and the surgeons and allied health professionals that perform this highly skilled work. The target audience consists of high school students This video was originally distributed to target schools to publicize and generate interest in the live webcast of an open heart surgery performed at Self Regional Healthcare.

The excitement and intriguing opportunity presented gives students a completely new view of our hospitals and health care professionals. Since the OR is not a setting many students have the opportunity to visit during a procedure, this project opens the doors to new experiences.
