Trident Health System

In December 2009, Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester county high school students stepped into a Trident Medical Center operating room and got a front row seat for a surgery. About 500 students were streamed video to a hysterectomy surgery performed by Dr. James Martin directly into their classrooms. Connecting education and healthcare by introducing students to real world surgery, students were able to see and learn about the daVinci robot during the broadcast.
